MyNYSHIP: Self Service for Contract College Employees with New York State Health Insurance Program, NYSHIP
The New York State Department of Civil Service, Employee Benefits Division, recently launched a new self-service application, MyNYSHIP, which gives active New York State employees online access, through a secure web site, to their own health insurance enrollment record.
With MyNYSHIP, as a contract college employee, you can:
· View a summary of plans under NYSHIP and the NYS Dental plans
in which you and your covered family members are enrolled;
· Update home address information with NYSHIP and the NYSHIP insurance
carriers.
Note: this does not update your address with Cornell University so you
also need to go to Employee Essentials
to make this change
· Order ID cards when enrolled in The Empire Plan.
A Civil Service ID is required to access MyNYSHIP. If you do not already have a Civil Service ID, you will be given one through the MyNYSHIP registration process. Additionally, to ensure a higher level of security, you will be required to provide a few identifying pieces of information that will be compared against your existing health insurance enrollment record before gaining access to your record.
