The talented staff and faculty of Cornell University make education and discovery possible and enable Cornell to reach out so effectively beyond our campus. Through our policies and through the programs and services we offer, Cornell endeavors to ensure not only that all employees are treated fairly, but also that they have opportunities to grow professionally and personally. Whether by receiving recognition of an award for dedicated service or participating in a fitness class; pursuing higher education through the employee degree program, or participating in university governance, Cornell staff and faculty members are empowered to excel professionally while also maintaining an appropriate balance among the many facets of their busy lives.
As Cornell's president, I value a healthy work-life balance and encourage all members of the campus community to engage in activities that promote good mental and physical health.
