Bailey Conservatory Greenhouse: Living tropical and subtropical plants; Plant

Bailey Hortorium: Plants; fourth floor, Mann Library; 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday; 255-2131.

Beebe Lake: Corner of Thurston Avenue and Forest Home Drive; walking path around lake.

Campus Gardens: Including A. D. White Gardens, Minns Garden, Dean’s Garden, Ruth Uris Garden, and Willard Straight Rock Garden.

Cornell Plantations: Cornell Plantations is free and open to the public year-round, sunrise to sunset. Throughout the seasons, there is always something to enjoy. Countless Plantations' managed areas are within easy lunchtime walking/driving distance. Talk a stroll around Beebe Lake or through the gorge trails. Get an ice cream at the Dairy Bar and visit the botanical garden off Tower Road. Walk or bike to the F.R. Newman Arboretum off Caldwell Road. Ample free parking available at the botanical garden with a permit from the gift shop. Unrestricted parking in the arboretum during spring, summer, and fall. Arboretum gates closed in winter. Fuertes Observatory: Located off Pleasant Grove Road; free and open to the public on clear Friday nights from 9:00 p.m.–12:00 midnight; 255-3557.

Ho Plaza: Between Cornell Store and Willard Straight Hall.

Johnson Museum of Art: Permanent collection and special exhibitions; free and open to the public; 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Tuesday–Sunday; 255-6464.

Laboratory of Ornithology ( Sapsucker Woods): 159 Sapsucker Woods Road; includes Bird and Wildlife Sanctuary, Lyman K. Stuart Observatory, Woodleton Boardwalk; free and open to the public; 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday; 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Friday; 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Saturday; trails are open all day every day; 254-2473.

Libe Slope: Between Willard Straight Hall and Uris Library.

McGraw Tower and the Cornell Chimes: The Cornell Chimesmasters perform a regular program of three concerts each day classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters; 7:45 a.m., 1:10 p.m., 6:00 p.m. Monday–Friday; 10:40 a.m., 12:00 noon, 6:00 p.m. Saturday–Sunday; 255-5350.

Peter Plaza: Between Uris Hall and Statler Hotel.

Imaging Facility (SPIF), 317 Space Sciences Building; 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday.
