Goods and Services Available on Campus
Campus units offer a wide range of services and products to Cornell departments, faculty, staff, and students. Many offer gift items for sale. Below is a sampling of what’s available on campus.

CFCU Community Credit Union

Ads of twenty words or less are published biweekly without charge for members of the Cornell community. Ads should be sent by e-mail to: <ppclassified@cornell.edu>, or by campus mail to: Flora Karasin, 240 Emerson Hall.
“ Cornell Marketplace” on CUinfo
In order to access these classifieds, you need to use a newsreader through Bear Access: Gravity (for Windows) and NewsWatcher (for Mac). Office of Publications and Marketing
Award-winning editors, designers, and marketing and production specialists will help you and your department communicate more effectively. Communication and Marketing Services provides targeted, cost-effective audience research, communications planning, and publications and other marketing tools for campus clients of all sizes. Computer-Assisted Survey Team (CAST)
Full-service facility using state-of-the-art technology to assist in creating, administering, and analyzing surveys; 255-3786.
Computer Repair Services
The Technology Connection’s service provider, The Computing Center, provides warranty and non-warranty repair services for most manufacturers, including Apple, Compaq, IBM, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba, Lexmark, and Hewlett Packard, no matter where you purchased it. Computer Sales and Service (The Technology Connection)
Provides consulting services and sells a full line of computer hardware, peripherals, supplies, and software at educational discounts to the Cornell community. Cornell Business Services (CBS)
A unit of Administration, Facilities, and Finance comprised of several departments that provide quality services to support the university’s academic and research missions. Departments include: The Cornell Store, The Technology Connection, Cornell Print Shop, and Cornell Travel Office. Cornell Cinema
Ithaca’s only repertory cinema, screening over 450 films (classic, foreign, and Hollywood, documentaries, international fare, recent hits, kid’s films, and more) each year. Cornell Cooperative Extension Publications and Audiovisuals

Cornell Dairy Store

Cornell Fitness Centers (CFC)
Operate many facilities on campus (Helen Newman, Class of ’28, Appel

Cornell Mail Services (CMS)
Mail Services: metering, bar-coding, addressing, stuffing, inserting, Business Reply Mail–processing, mailing lists, labels; 254-8284. Includes Red Runner Courier Service—the best way to move people, packages, and documents around campus. Red Runner is available for Cornell business only. Payment is by department charge, billed monthly—by the trip or on contract; 254-8293.
Cornell Orchards
Offers a unique selection of quality fruits, vegetables, cider, and maple syrup. Other gift items include cookbooks, teas, jellies, crackers, candy, and T-shirts. Proceeds help defray research costs; open September–April; located on Route 366; 255-4542.
Cornell Outdoor Education (COE)
Offers a comprehensive outdoor-equipment rental program to the Cornell community, including climbing equipment, skis, canoes, sea kayaks, backpacks, and tents; offers courses to faculty and staff, including customized team-building programs; facilities include the Lindseth Climbing Wall, the largest natural-rock indoor-climbing wall in North America; 255-6183; Web: <http://www.coe.cornell.edu>.
Cornell Plantations

Cornell Sports School
Runs camps and clinics year-round to give children, ages 7–18, the opportunity to improve their skills in the sport of their choice; some adult sessions also. In the summer, the school gears up for seven weeks of action with offerings in more than twenty sports. Cornell Travel Office
The Travel Office provides a wide range of travel services to Cornell faculty and staff. Cornell travelers can access an on-line reservation system to view and make reservations for the most economical and convenient air fares, car rentals, and hotel accommodations; discounted rates for Cornell travelers for air travel, hotels and car rentals; convention and group travel assistance; secure electronic ticketing; assistance in obtaining passports and visas; and twenty-four-hour emergency phone assistance. Hortus Forum

Intramural Sports

Johnson Museum of Art
Catalogs, postcards, videos, and T-shirts are for sale in the museum lobby; call to rent the lobby and the sixth-floor board room, with its breathtaking view of Cayuga Lake; 255-6464.
Media and Technology Services
Now part of Communication and Marketing Services (CAMS), this office is a professionally staffed, full-service media and communication production unit available to meet your communication needs, including writing, editing, and design for print and displays; video and audio production; duplication and distribution; video conferencing and satellite uplink and downlink services for distance learning and media interviews; Web-site development, design, and training; instructional design for new media and distance learning; networked electronic black-and-white and color printing; and marketing and distribution of educational products worldwide; Web: <http://www.mediasrv.cornell.edu>.
Oxley Equestrian Center
Offers English riding lessons and boarding facilities for privately owned horses to all members of the Cornell community. Also hosts home contests of the men’s and women’s polo teams and the women’s equestrian team; 272-0150.
Post Office
A U.S. Post Office substation is located on campus in Kennedy Hall, basement level, and offers stamps, money orders, collectibles, prepaid phone cards, priority mail, packaging supplies, and public copiers; 8:00 a.m.–4:15 p.m., Monday–Thursday; 8:00 a.m.–3:45 p.m., Friday; 255-3070.
Printing and Copying Services (CBS Digital Services)
The CBS Digital Services is a full-service, high-quality printing and copying operation with quick turnaround time to meet your needs, all at competitive prices. On-staff designers help bring your ideas to paper. Printing services up to four-color printing with state-of-the-art, computer-to-plate technology; also complete binding/finishing capability, including spiral, GBC saddle stitch and perfect binding. No bidding required on departmental jobs. Free estimates. Statler Hotel and Marriott Executive Education Center
The Statler Hotel, which features 150 finely appointed guest rooms and suites, is an advanced hospitality-management training facility and state-of-the-art meeting venue. Statler Lobby Shop

Technology Training Services
Helps support-providers and departments identify their training needs and plan effective training programs. Testing Services
Water testing for sulfur, heavy metals, and water hardness is available at the Plant Science Laboratory; 255-1785. Insect-identification services are available at the Diagnostic Laboratory; 255-3144. Soil-testing services are available from the Soil Testing Laboratory; 255-1785. Water testing for coliform bacteria is available at the Veterinary Medicine Diagnostic Laboratory; fee; 253-3333.
Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT)
Provides public transit service to the city of Ithaca, rural and suburban areas of Tompkins County, and to Cornell University and Ithaca College. CU Transit Charters provides deluxe, air-conditioned coaches that seat up to forty-seven passengers. Video- and lavatory-equipped. Charters available by the hour, day, or trip; 277-RIDE (277-7433).
Transportation Services: Commuter and Parking Services
Register your vehicle, obtain a parking permit or transit pass, join a commuter program (RideShare, OmniRide, or Occasional Parker), appeal a ticket, or arrange for conference and special-event parking; 255-PARK (255-7275).

Professional photographers are available to shoot your next event, or help your newsletter, brochure, or Web page dazzle with full-color impact.
