The Recruitment and Employment Center provides information and assistance in the following areas:
- Provides information and assistance to individuals interested in temporary and regular employment.
- Assists colleges and units in job postings, recruitment and hiring processes.
- Interprets employment policies
- Oversees the university's online career openings and job application process.
- Assists in developing strategies to diversify applicant pools in an effort to attract and retain a highly qualified and diverse workforce.
- Assists in marketing Cornell University and the Ithaca area to potential applicants.
- Identifies, recruits and manages relationships with high quality, diverse applicants.
- Provides human resource services to supervisors and employees in various units.
- Helps units develop human resource management strategies and practices to support efficient achievement of objectives.
- Advises about position development and classification, recruitment, employee relations, compensation and classification of bargaining unit positions.
