Office of Workforce Policy and Labor Relations
The Office of Workforce Policy and Labor Relations, in the Division of Human Resources, provides consultation services to all university staff, college/administrative unit local human resource officers, supervisors, and managers. The office is responsible for the negotiation, interpretation and administration of the collective bargaining agreements in place at Cornell University, academic and nonacademic policy development and interpretation, administration of the staff complaint and grievance process, administration of the protected status harassment and discrimination response process, administration of the university's unemployment program, mediation and conflict resolution, consultations on layoffs, disciplinary actions, terminations, and other employee relations matters. In addition, the office is responsible for addressing concerns under policy related to protected status harassment and discrimination, disability accommodations for applicants, and religious accommodations for faculty and staff, as well as other compliance matters.

- Labor Agreements There are currently six (6) labor agreements. Workplace Policy and Labor Relations staff work with supervisors, employees represented by collective bargaining agents and union leadership in the day-to-day administration and interpretation of contracts.
